The nursery is one of the biggest stresses for new parents.  For this reason, one of my favorite baby planning services that we offer at Peekaboo is actually one we don't advertise much...we call it, "Nursery Staging."  

Peekaboo Nursery Staging works two ways:

1.)  If we're involved in a nursery from concept to completion, we always bring extra items that might be needed to fill in any gaps, extra art work, clocks, pillows, custom toy baskets...you name it!  This assures that the client will be revealing an absolute complete nursery.  The extra items, not discussed in the negotiated budget, can either be kept or sent back with Peekaboo. 

2.)  Sometimes,  parents who wanted to do it all just run out of time.  In these cases, we gather items from around town and in our inventory that we know will help complete their space.  Then, we come out for about half a day and leave them with their complete, dream nursery. We know what items to bring based on either a quick in-nursery consultation or because the client has sent us detailed pictures of the room. 

Recently, we received a call from a husband who wanted to surprise his wife by having their nursery completed.  They were due any day and he had done the hard part.  He painted the room, added crown molding, a chandelier and even hand cut and painted a flower for the ceiling medallion for the chandelier.  His work was amazing, but they just ran out of time and energy. 

He sent me detailed pics of the room so all that my nursery coordinator, Samantha, and I had to do was gather items and get to work!  We brought several sized rugs, window panels and curtain rods in two different colors and even created a few custom art pieces in order to make sure we had enough to leave the room complete.  After testing what looked best, we began setting up the room.  As in all of our nurseries, we assembled anything they needed assembled, hung the decor that they had purchased and we sprinkled in the items that we brought.  Check out the pics throughout this post, but forgive the photography!  I only had my cel. phone with me that day.
