The Nursery - Art Work: Growing with Family 

At Peekaboo, our goal is to help create nurseries that not only grow with baby but that also grow with the family! 

For this reason, I was so very happy when one of our favorite clients contacted us several weeks ago to tell us that they are expecting again.  I met Siobhan a couple of years ago when she was planning the room for her baby girl, Cara.  She loved the brown and pink combo.  We used brown as the base for the walls and added pink accessories.  This way if the next baby was a boy, they could just replace the pink items with blue.  If a girl, they had a ready-made nursery.

It's a girl!  So, she had the great idea of replacing Cara's name over the crib with the new baby's name, Kelsey. 

The great thing is, Cara is moving in with her big sister, Cate.  They had the same letters created for Cate so now they'll have their matching letters over their bed.

Baby Planning - Gifts:  Big Bro & Sis Nap Mats

So...check out the nap mat I made!   One of my dearest friends, Angie, was looking for a nap mat for her daughter, Emma.  Emma starts pre-school in the fall and is the ultimate girlie-girl.  Angie had been searching for a nap mat and found some adorable ones, but the fabrics weren't exactly what she wanted.  Plus, she had to have one that is super plush and comfy for her princess girl.  I asked if she would mind if I made one for Emma, she kindly agreed and it turned out great! 

If I do say so myself, I think we did a pretty good job of designing and creating the mat.   Emma now has the plush daddy of nap mats.

In baby nurseries, I almost always add oversized floor pillows for my big bros and sistas, but I'm thinking that I may need to throw these nap mats in the mix.  What do you think?

Baby Planning - Gifts: Shirts for Big Bro & Sis

Can you tell I am a kid of the 70's??  I love these Dr. Seuss newborn onesies and infant t-shirts.  For big bro/sis, one that states "Thing 1" and for baby, "Thing 2"...too cute!  I also love the colors...an alternative to the pink and blue blah!  The only downside...the sizes available are newborn thru 24 months.  So, 24 months is the largest size they offer.
